Scroggin is a game I made as a class project with two partners in about 4 weeks.
Working off a given theme of 'Trail', I designed our core concept of combining ingredients into a powerup trail mix.
I was responsible for the majority of powerup design and implementation for our player, as well as the player's Animation State Machine.
I also wrote the tilemap integration, and a few other miscellaneous features (I'm particularly proud of the falling leaves particle effect).
The assets & sound were entirely created by my good friend Daniel Aughenbaugh, and it was both Daniel and I responsible for level design.
I also couldn't have done it without Dennis Zabluda, who helped implement the initial character controller, and several menus and objects.
This game received a Worldbuilding Award in The 2021 UCSC Games Showcase
